5 TIPS TO LET GO OF MOM'S GUILT

We all know this feeling- most depressing feeling-Mom’s guilt.
This feel comes flooding in to drain us emotionally and consume our thoughts and actions. We feel helpless.
May be our kid is crying out loud in public, we may feel we didn’t set boundaries for them.
May be our kid is not performing well at school, we may feel we hadn’t prepared them for studying.
Whatever the reason, you can’t overcome the guilt feeling, just because we feel the whole responsibility of kid is a Mom.
Mostly we feel guilty for the things we would have done and the things we wouldn’t have done.
Sometimes we shout at them, immediately we regret. Guilt feeling will eat us from inside.
There are five practical ways to fight with a guilty feeling.

1. Be gentle with yourself:
Dear Moms, you are doing great every time with your kid. Don’t overthink of anything. It is not completely your mistake if your kid doesn’t perform well or if your kid becomes stubborn. But yes there are solutions to every problem. Keeping aside your guilty feeling, try to help yourself and child. Don’t carry the burden all the time. Be gentle with yourself.
2. Make a simple commitment:
For any problem, the solution begins with our commitment. So commit yourself for a single task. “I will spend quality time with my kid this afternoon”  or “ I am not going to shout at my kid today”. Commit for statement and try to stick on it.
3. Make a plan:
In what areas you feel guilty? Be it your mood swings or time spent with them; make a plan to overcome your guilt. Use your time effectively, be balanced with them. Not everything goes as per plan, but without a plan you cannot overcome your problem.
4. Focus on positive things:
Remember one thing, “Every woman is an awesome mother”. There can be a difference in parenting, but we all love our kids in the same way. So not to worry about small failures, focus on positive things.
5. Get help from your partner or family:
To overcome the guilt feeling, talk to your partner and get some help from him. Ask him to spend some quality time with the kid or ask him to deal with the kid when you cannot control your anger. It helps!!
Every mother’s experience is unique in parenting, likewise this mom’s guilt also. It is okay, you are not alone. Every mother experiences this. Being a mother is life changing experience. Take time for yourself!
Be Happy!!
Enjoy motherhood!!
